What have we accomplished so far with Legacy of Light donations?
Since the inception of Atholton, in 1958, its members have been committed to Christian Education. Building the Atholton Adventist School with three classrooms and an office for the first teacher and 13 students, followed by a full size gymnasium (1962) a kitchen (1964), and years later the sanctuary (1975).
Over the years the commitment of Atholton members added basement rooms (1986) under the sanctuary and an entire two story school building with 8 classrooms, an office and library (2006). The refurbishment of our forty-eight year old worship space which is also used as the Atholton Adventist Academy chapel (2024). We now officially have full academy status, which means not only do we offer grades PreK-12 but graduation diplomas are given through Atholton Adventist Academy (2025). Most recently, we have completed our brand new Early Childhood Learning Center for our PreK 3, PreK4, and Kindergarten Students (2026).
What still needs to be accomplished with donations to the Legacy of Light Capital Campaign?
Here’s what we aim to achieve together next:
The completion of our new Early Childhood Learning Center gave our whole school better classrooms, more storage, and a beautiful place to gather before God. Because our students benefit from these spaces every day, we want to be part of reaching our Legacy of Light capital campaign goal of $1,000,000.
As of August 31 we have raised $689,481.
By April 30, 2027 we need to raise an additional $310,519.
Every gift toward this goal helps us direct more of our budget back into programs and resources for our students.
Every bit counts, and when we work together, we can reach our goal. Thank you for your generosity and for the ways you continue to invest in our school family.
